| Assemblies/Field Trips | Fundraisers throughout the year help fund assemblies and field trips for the entire student body, such as Imagination Machine, Got Rhythm, Walk Through the Revolution and California, Aquarium, and many others. |

| Book Drive | Books are collected at the school to enhance the library inventory to keep fresh and new books coming in to maintain student interest by offering a variety of books. |

| Book Fair | Held twice a year. A week long event whereby students and parents may purchase great children’s books at a discounted price from Scholastic Books. Includes one family night with fun activities and events. |

| Box Tops for Education | Collect box tops from your favorite everyday cereals, ziploc, Betty Crocker, etc. and bring them to school during the class competition. Class with the highest participation wins an ice cream party. |

| “Classroom/Library/Computer Lab Volunteers and Aides” |
Parents are encouraged to assist faculty and staff in the classroom, library, computer lab or with special projects that may be completed at home to assist in the education process of teaching for our children. |

| Character Counts | Special student recognition each month in front of the school by the principal for exhibiting positive character traits. |

| Coin Drive | Change does matter. Students bring coins for a fun week long class competition. Winner gets an ice cream party. |

| Crown Valley Cares | Giving back to the community through multiple drives for donations such as a Book Drive, Toy Drive, Shoe Drive, and Food Drive. Flyers and posters are displayed, bins are placed in front of the school, donations are collected and delivered to the charity. |

| Dolphin Book Club | Celebrate a Special Milestone in your child’s life. Become a member and a book will be donated to the school library, including your child’s name as the first page of the book. |

| Family Dinner Nights | Bi-monthly events whereby local restaurants donate a percentage of sales to the school for those families who visit the restaurant on a given night and present a flyer that will come home in student packets. |

| Family Fun Nights | Events throughout the year for the entire family to enjoy an evening with the students and visit with other families. |

| Gift Wrap | Largest fundraiser for the PTA. Quality gift wrap and assorted gifts may be purchased by family and friends. |

| Holiday Boutique | Students are provided an opportunity to “go shopping” for family to purchase holiday gifts. Teaches students giving to others and managing money on a budget. |

| Hospitality | Representative who assists the principal with food/beverages, when hosting events such as district round tables, faculty meetings, and regional trainings. Organizes monthly treats for the teachers and plans the Back to School and Teacher Appreciation Luncheons. |

| Jog-a-thon | Campus wide participation as students get outdoors and learn the value of exercise for healthy living. All day fundraising event. |

| Legislation | Keeps the chapter informed on any matters with the State that pertain to Education by attending Legislative Workshops and obtaining information from Lobbyists. |

| Meet the Masters | Six famous artists are presented throughout the year to teach students techniques and types of artistic styles. A presenter provides a lecture on the artists background, style of painting, and then leads each student through making their own artistic masterpiece. |

| Membership | Sends out information to families to join the PTA and take an active role in their child’s education. Responsible for flyer, collecting dues, and getting members involved. |

| Red Ribbon Week | Drug Awareness. Week long event where the police come out and talk with the students about drug education and negative impacts. 1st Vice President organizes, decorates school, coordinates activities, and provides DARE wristbands for distribution to all students. |

| Reflections | The National PTA Reflections Program is an art recognition and achievement program for students in six various categories- Literature, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Dance Choreography, and Film/Video Production. It allows students to express themselves creatively and receive positive recognition for original works of art inspired by a pre-selected theme. The Reflections Team distributes applications, collects the art, votes, forwards winners onto the District, and passes out awards at a morning Assembly. |

| SELF/Ability Awareness | Special Education Linking Families is a PTA District wide program that helps education school and community about our special needs population. Ability Awareness is an interactive assembly day where students will have an opportunity to go through fun and educational simulations to help understand what it is like to live with a disability. |

| Sock Hop | A tradition at Crown Valley for many years, this is a fun-filled family event. Entertainment includes face painters, a live band, balloon makers, an obstacle course, games, a live and silent auction, and delightful treats for the entire family. |

| Spirit Wear | Students show their spirit each Friday by wearing logo t-shirts and sweatshirts, which may be purchased in the Fall. Mystery competitions each month for showing the most spirit. |

| Student Directory | The Student Directory is compiled by class and provided to all students to facilitate communication among families for birthday parties, play dates, and fun activities. |

| Talent Show | Presentation to show off our students amazing talents playing an instrument, singing, dancing, performing a specialized skill such as the martial arts/gymnastics, and skits. A family fun event for all to enjoy. |

| Teacher Appreciation | Annual week long event to celebrate and thank our teacher’s for all of their hard work and dedication to our students. A list of suggestions is provided for each day, and a luncheon is provided for all staff and teacher’s on Thursday. |

| Website | PTA website provides a wealth of information. Responsible for posting relevant dates and events, as well as providing current information on issues affecting CVES. |

| Yearbook | An amazing tribute to all students to celebrate a fantastic year, including highlights of the fun student festivities. |

| Young Author’s Faire | A tribute to young writer’s and illustrators who are honored by the OC Department of Education at a special event with workshops, activities, and interaction with published writer’s and illustrators. Students honored at morning assembly. |
